Family Development Project in the Batı Şeria

Within the framework of the 2016 Family Development Project, the Sebil Humanitarian Aid Association opened small-scale businesses for a total of 57 families in the cities of El-Halil, Nablus, and Yatta in the West Bank region of Palestine. Through its 2016 Family Development Projects, our association enabled 57 families experiencing financial hardship to support themselves by opening small-scale businesses. The Family Development Project provided training in their respective fields, taking into account the individuals' skills and professions. Businesses were opened for the selected individuals as a result of the training provided. The necessary tools and equipment were purchased for the established businesses and delivered to the designated families. Through the project, families received the capital, tools, equipment, and product assistance they needed in the areas of cafeterias, hairdressing salons, grocery stores, bakeries, farming, tailoring, and animal husbandry. The aim of this project was to enable families to meet their own needs and eliminate poverty. As is well known, food and goods aid can only meet the needs of poor people for a limited time. Development projects enable people to become self-employed, allowing them to meet their own needs and providing a permanent solution to the problem.
