Repayment Debts of a Graduated Student

Project Description

This proposal is designed to target the graduated students (275-students) at Birzeit University,

who have completed their academic requirements, but they could not receive their certificates due

to the debts accrued to the university during the last two years.

The total dues approximately 315.000 JD (440.000 $).

The proposal as well targets the active students who are expected

to graduate during the current academic year 2018/2019,

and who have accumulated debts accrued to the university,

that may prevent them as well to receive their certificates.

The list of beneficiaries has been prepared after studying the social,

academic and financial cases of the target students,

through official statements and documents issued by the administration of Birzeit University

and its affiliated committees, with validating data by Sebil Association.

Each case is evaluated according to Weighting points model,

which gives the case a specified measurable weight without any personal intervention.

Accordingly, the candidate’s cases are properly placed in the list based on the number of points obtained

by the approved case. The interested donor may cover all or part of the total amount required,

and the grant will be distributed to beneficiaries who are sorted in the list which was organized according

to declared priorities and criteria.

Regarding to the grants received from the donors, it will be deposited or transferred directly

to Birzeit bank account.

The donors will receive a detailed report explained the data of grant beneficiary and the updated reports

from Birzeit University displaying the close of the beneficiaries' debts and a copy of their certificates.

Goals

1. Reducing the financial burden on the poor student.
2. Enabling the students to continue their education.
3. Supporting the significant subjects which are required to improve and strengthen the Palestinian society.

Budget
